[Adopted 5-8-2006 by Ord. No. 764]
[Amended 2-24-2020 by Ord. No. 891]
Unless another penalty is expressly provided, every person convicted of a violation of any provision of the Code, or any ordinance, rule or regulation adopted or issued in pursuance thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not more than $500 and/or required to pay restitution in cases involving property damage or personal injury in an amount up to the actual cash value of the property damage or personal injury and/or be required to provide community service for the Town for not more than 10 days for any one offense, unless other penalties therefor or penalties within other limits are specifically prescribed by statute. Each act of violation and each day upon which any such violation shall occur shall constitute a separate offense. The penalty provided by this section, unless another penalty is expressly provided, shall apply to the amendment of any Code section, whether or not such penalty is reenacted in the amendatory ordinance. In addition to the penalty prescribed above, the Town Council may pursue other remedies such as abatement of nuisances, injunctive relief, and revocation of licenses or permits.
