The Judges of the Johnston Municipal Court are hereby granted discretionary authority to impose per-day fines in matters that are of immediate concern to the health, welfare, and safety of the community. Said authority granted to the Judges of the Municipal Court shall be exercised in matters addressing laws, ordinances or state laws in matters where the Town of Johnston has concurrent jurisdiction with state law. If, at the discretion of the Judges, certain violations are deemed ongoing, said violations shall be considered in effect each day the violation occurs, and the Judges of the Municipal Court shall fine the violator on a per-day basis.
The fines imposed by the Judges of the Municipal Court on a per-day basis shall be the fines relating to the offenses before the Judges as per current fine schedules.
