Pursuant to Section 18-6 of the Charter of the Town of Johnston, there shall be created the Office of Planning and Economic Development.
The Town Planner shall be the administrative
head of the Office of Planning and Economic Development and shall
possess the requisite education, qualifications, and experience in
the field of municipal planning.
The Town Planner shall be compensated with a
salary as provided by the Town Council by ordinance, depending upon
education, qualifications, and experience, and shall enjoy all benefits
incidental to employment, including but not limited to health benefits,
sick days and vacation time.
