No person, firm, corporation, or other entity created or intending to engage in the business of sales or rental of new or used motor vehicles in this Town shall do so without first obtaining a license from the Town.

The Town Council is hereby authorized to issue a maximum number of 70 used car licenses, 10 new car licenses, and 10 car rental licenses. No additional licenses shall be issued until one of the authorized licenses is surrendered to the Town or revoked by the Town Council.
All applications for licenses required by § 129-1 of this chapter shall be sworn to and be on a form created and provided by the Town Clerk and shall be submitted with the filing fee.

The fee for a license required under § 129-1 of this chapter shall be as provided for in Chapter 125, Business Operations, Article IV.
Any license issued under this chapter shall be automatically revoked upon certified proof to the Town Council that the licensee's state license has been revoked, suspended, or otherwise not allowed to operate under its state license.

The size of all used car lots shall be limited to the size of the car lot itself. No used car lot may have more cars for sale at any one time than the number of spaces established by the size of the lot itself.

Each used car business shall submit a detailed sketch of the lot to be used to the Building Inspector and Town Clerk, establishing the maximum number of automobiles allowed, based upon space, prior to the renewal or granting of a used car license.
Anyone convicted of a violation of any of the provisions of this chapter shall be punishable as provided in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article II, of this Code.
