It shall be unlawful for any person to throw or deposit any waste material or debris upon any public highway, platted street, property owned or maintained by the Town or any other public place in the Town, or within 300 feet of such highway, street or property.
It shall be unlawful to overload any vehicle carrying or transporting any waste material, debris, sand, gravel, coal, ashes, stone or other material so as to result in having same spill upon any public highway, platted street, property owned or maintained by the Town, or any other public place in the Town, or within 300 feet of such highway, street or property.
No person shall dump or deposit upon any of the public ways, streets or highways any junk, paper cups, bottles, old metals or other refuse of any kind or nature whatsoever.

It shall be unlawful for any person to discard any litter, rubbish, garbage, junk, bottles, cans or other refuse on or along the highways, or upon any public or private property, unless so authorized by the state or by any of its agencies.

Any person violating this chapter shall be fined not exceeding $500 or imprisoned not exceeding 30 days and/or sentenced to voluntary community service for a Town agency for not more than 10 days or 80 hours for any offense.
