When signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person shall operate any vehicle with a gross weight in excess of the amounts specified at any time upon any of the streets so designated.
When signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person shall operate any commercial vehicle exceeding limitations of pounds gross weight at any time upon any of the streets so designated, except that such vehicles may be operated thereon for the purpose of delivering or picking up materials or merchandise and then only by entering such street at the intersection nearest the destination of the vehicle and proceeding thereon no farther than the nearest intersection thereafter.
It is hereby determined upon the basis of an engineering and traffic investigation that the size permitted by state law is also applicable upon the streets or parts of streets in this Town unless designated otherwise.

Trucks over one and one-half tons gross weight and truck tractors are hereby excluded from the streets or parts of streets or highways described below, except for any truck or truck tractor owned or used by the Town of Johnston, or the State of Rhode Island, or any truck tractor used for the delivery or service of fuel oil, electric power or natural gas.

A. 
Purpose. Trucks and commercial vehicles are prohibited from using or driving on Taylor Road at all times.
B. 
Exemptions.
(1) 
The following vehicles are exempt from the provisions of this section:
(a) 
Emergency vehicles, i.e., police and fire apparatus.
(b) 
School buses.
(c) 
Trucks and commercial vehicles delivering goods and services to the residents of Taylor Road.
(d) 
Any vehicle with a gross vehicular weight of less than 4,500 pounds.
(2) 
A suburban vehicle, as defined in R.I.G.L. § 31-1-3, is not deemed to be a truck or commercial vehicle for the purposes of this section.
C. 
Notice. The appropriate signs shall be placed at the entrance to Taylor Road outlining the conditions of this section.
D. 
Penalty. Any violation hereof shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed $200.
E. 
Enforcement. The Johnston Police Department shall enforce this section.

A. 
Purpose. Trucks and commercial vehicles with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) in excess of 80,000 pounds are prohibited from using or driving on Priscilla Lane unless they are delivering or picking up materials or merchandise pursuant to § 220-87 of the Town Ordinances.

Penalty. Any violation hereof shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed $200.
