Tobacco products — See Ch. 225.
It shall be unlawful for any person to smoke any tobacco product in
any of the following municipal buildings:
A.
City Hall Building.
B.
Fire Hall and Public Safety Building.
C.
Library (municipal building).
D.
Buckeye garage.
E.
Public works garage - east.
F.
Public works garage - west.
G.
Lakefront Park beach house.
H.
Buckeye Street garage.
I.
Grandview Park concessions stand.
J.
Wastewater treatment plant and garage.
K.
All Water Utility buildings.
Signs prohibiting smoking shall be posted conspicuously at every entrance
and in prominent locations of each building set forth above. Signs shall contain
a reference that regulation is by ordinance, such as "No Smoking - City Ord.
Ch. 80."
The department head or other person in charge of premises regulated
under this chapter shall make reasonable efforts to prevent smoking on the
premises by:
A.
Approaching smokers who fail to voluntarily comply with
this chapter and requesting that they extinguish their smoke and refrain from
smoking, upon witnessing the same or upon the request of any person.
B.
Any other means which may be deemed appropriate by said
person in charge, including refusal of service to anyone smoking where prohibited.
Any person who violates any provision of this chapter shall be required
to forfeit not less than $10 nor more than $50. Each day of violation shall
constitute a separate offense.
