City of Oconto Falls, WI Chapter 55 Fire Department

§ 55-1 Establishment.

There shall be established a volunteer fire department within the City of Oconto Falls.

§ 55-2 Organization.

The Oconto Falls Fire Department shall be organized and operated in accordance with the bylaws of the Department.

§ 55-3 Appointment.

Members of the Oconto Falls Volunteer Fire Department shall be appointed to membership as determined by the Department's bylaws.

§ 55-4 Funding.

The Oconto Falls Fire Department shall be funded by the City of Oconto Falls and subject to the fiscal policy of the City. The Department shall prepare a budget annually during September for consideration by the City's Finance Committee. The budget shall include payroll costs for staff, operating expenses for the Department, maintenance expenses for departmental buildings, and a capital budget. The Department's annual budget shall be subject to the approval of the Common Council.
