A.
The village does hereby grant to North Star Natural
Gas Company of Wisconsin, Inc., a corporation organized and existing
under the laws of the state, its successors and assigns, upon the
conditions hereinafter set forth, the exclusive right, authority and
permission to construct, maintain, operate, enlarge and repair in
the village a system for the furnishing and distribution of natural
gas and natural gaseous fuels.
B.
This franchise shall be void if facilities are not
constructed and gas is not ready for distribution in the village within
five years after the effective date of this article (July 20, 1965).
A.
Materials. All pipe shall be heavy-duty steel pipe
with welded connections and wrapped with an approved wrapping.
B.
Installation. All pipe shall be surrounded top and
bottom by six inches of sand in a ditch suitable for the purpose.
This does not require six inches of sand on the sides of the pipe.
