In accordance with Chapter 346, Laws of 1981,
a Land Conservation Committee, a Land Conservation Department and
an advisory committee to the Land Conservation Committee are created
as set out in this article.[1]
There is created the Pierce County Land Conservation
Department which shall consist of the present Pierce County employees
who work with the Pierce County Soil and Water Conservation District.
The Land Conservation Committee shall create
an advisory committee to the Land Conservation Committee which may
consist of one representative designated from the Zoning Committee
and the Parks Committee and one representative designated from the
following agencies: United States Soil Conservation Service, Wisconsin
Department of Natural Resources, United States Farmers Home Administration,
United States Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service,
the Pierce County Cooperative Extension Service and any other pertinent
agency.
