The annual election shall be held the first Tuesday in April. In odd-numbered years, a President and three Trustees shall be elected for terms of two years; in even-numbered years, three Trustees shall be elected for terms of two years
The Village officers shall be a President, an Administrator, and six Trustees. All other officers shall be appointed by the Village Board at the first meeting after the annual election.
A. 
Village Board President. The salary for the Village Board President shall be $3,000 on an annual basis.
B. 
Village Trustees. The salary for Village Trustees shall be $2,100 on an annual basis.
C. 
Other commission and committee members. All persons serving as members of boards or committees and commissions created by the Village Board of the Village of Sauk City shall be paid the sum of $20 for each meeting attended by such board or commission member, except for Village Board Trustees and the Village President.[1]

D. 
Expenses. All Village Trustees and the Village Board President shall be entitled to reimbursement for their out-of-pocket expenses incurred on behalf of the Village of Sauk City in the furtherance of their duties as Trustees, subject to approval of the Village Board.
E. 
Additional compensation. All Village Trustees and the Village President shall be paid the sum of $20 for each committee or commission meeting they attend and shall be paid the sum of $50 for each Board of Review meeting, unless such payments are expressly prohibited by Wisconsin Statutes.
The offices of Clerk and Treasurer having been consolidated by the adoption of a Charter Ordinance on January 8, 1957, which authorized the Village Board to determine the method of selection to be used in filling such office and the Village Board having appointed a Village Administrator to act as Clerk-Treasurer, the Village Administrator shall exercise the statutory duties specified in §§ 61.25, 61.26 and 61.27, Wis. Stats., relating to the office of Clerk-Treasurer.
The office of the Chief of Police, having been created by the adoption of a Charter Ordinance dated January 29, 1963, shall be filled by appointment by the Sauk-Prairie Police Commission in accordance with its rules.
The President shall by virtue of his or her office be a Trustee and preside at all meetings of the Village Board and have a vote as Trustee, sign all ordinances, rules, bylaws, regulations, commissions, and contracts adopted or authorized by the Board, and have such other powers as are prescribed by § 61.24, Wis. Stats.
There shall be six Trustees on the Village Board, three of whom are elected at each annual election. The Trustees shall constitute a board designated the "Village Board of Trustees" in which shall be vested all the powers of the Village not specifically given some other officers. Their term of office shall be two years.
A. 
Appointment. The President of the Village shall appoint one or more Weed Commissioners each year. The Weed Commissioner shall hold his or her office for one year and until his or her successor has qualified.
B. 
Powers and duties. The Weed Commissioner shall have all the authority, duties and other powers as are prescribed by § 66.0517, Wis. Stats.
A. 
Statutory authority. Pursuant to § 40.01, Wis. Stats., the Village elects to include eligible Village personnel under the provisions of the Public Employee Trust Fund in accordance with the terms thereof.
B. 
Election for prior service credits. Election is made to provide prior service credits at rates equal to two times the rate of municipality credits for current service, to be applicable to employees as defined in § 40.01, Wis. Stats., who are employed by the Village on the effective date.
