All buildings shall be numbered in accordance with the uniform building numbering system adopted by the Village Board.
A. 
Upon the issuance of a permit for the construction of any residential, institutional, business or industrial building, the owner shall obtain a street address placard from the Village of Saukville Building Inspector. Cost of these materials shall be incorporated into the overall cost of the permit.
B. 
The owner shall place the placard in a conspicuous area of the lot easily seen from the public way providing primary access, to the satisfaction of the Building Inspector.
C. 
Upon completion of construction and prior to final inspections, the owner shall mount the unique building number for the subject building to a conspicuous area at the front of, or in close proximity to the primary access to, the subject building, to the satisfaction of the Building Inspector. The owner may substitute a unique building number identifier comprised of numeric characters the style, size and color of which are approved by the Village of Saukville Building Inspector.
D. 
All existing residential, institutional, business or industrial buildings in the Village of Saukville shall be numbered in accordance with the provisions of Subsection C.
Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, any person who violates any provision of this chapter shall be subject to a penalty as provided in § 1-19 of this Code.
