Every gas company, water company, telephone and telecommunication company and electric light company located and doing business in the corporate limits of the City shall obtain a license from the City of Hagerstown to provide services within the City of Hagerstown. The term of the license shall be from July 1 through June 30 of the following year. The Clerk shall issue such license upon payment of the respective sums for the same as hereinafter provided and pro rata for any period of less than one year.
The fee shall be set and may be modified annually by the Mayor and Council by resolution.
Any person or persons violating any provision of this chapter shall be punished as provided in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article II.
