The purpose of this chapter is to authorize
public servants of the Village of Lake George to issue and serve appearance
tickets in connection with violations of state statutes, local laws,
ordinances or rules and regulations of said Village of Lake George
which the public servants are authorized or required to enforce.
The following public servants of the Village
of Lake George are hereby authorized to issue and serve an appearance
ticket with respect to violations of a state statute, a local law,
ordinance, rule or regulation of the Village of Lake George that such
public servants are, respectively, required or authorized to enforce:
A.Â
Enforcement Officer: all local laws and ordinances
of the Village of Lake George.

Meter Enforcement Officer: all local laws and ordinances
of the Village of Lake George.
C.Â
Peace officers certified by the State of New York:
all local laws and ordinances of the Village of Lake George.

Fire Chief, Superintendents of the Street, Water,
Sanitation and Parks Department.

An appearance ticket other than a parking violation
shall be served personally and in accordance with the laws and requirements
of the State of New York, with the exception of an appearance ticket
and notice of violation issued by the Enforcement Officer. An appearance
ticket and notice of violation issued by the Enforcement Officer shall
be served either personally or by posting the notice in a conspicuous
place upon the premises affected. If a notice of violation is served
by posting it upon the premises, a copy thereof shall be mailed to
the person to whom it is directed.
