Township of Horsham, PA Chapter 55 Salaries and Compensation

Article I Township Council

[Adopted at time of adoption of Code (see Ch. 1, General Provisions, Art. I)]

§ 55-1 Compensation established; payment schedule.

The compensation to members of Council shall be increased to correspond with the level of compensation permitted by Section 606 of the Second Class Township Code,[1] as may be periodically amended by the Pennsylvania Legislature. At the time of adoption of this article, the level of compensation permitted by Section 606 is $4,125 per year, payable in monthly increments of $343.75.

§ 55-2 When effective; applicability of increases.

This article shall become effective as to each member of Council at the beginning of his or her next term on Council, and to future new Council members on the commencement of his or her term. When the compensation permissible under Section 606 is increased by the Pennsylvania Legislature, the increase will be effective as to members of Council on the commencement of his or her next term, and as to new Council members on the date his or her term first commences following an amendment to Section 606 of the Second Class Township Code.
