Whenever any words and phrases are used in this
chapter, the meanings respectively ascribed to them in Subtitle I
of Title 39 of the New Jersey Statutes Annotated shall be deemed to
apply to such words and phrases used herein.
Whenever certain hours are named in this chapter,
they shall mean either Eastern standard time or Eastern daylight saving
time, as may be in current use.

A. Unless another penalty is expressly provided by New Jersey statute or within Chapter
171, every person convicted of a violation of a provision of this chapter or any supplement thereto, other than handicapped parking, shall be liable to pay a fine of $50 for each offense.
B. Any person parking in a space reserved for handicapped
individuals shall be liable to pay a fine of $250 for a first offense
and a fine of $250 plus a maximum of 90 days' community service for
all subsequent offenses.
Any vehicle parked in violation of this chapter
shall be deemed a nuisance and a menace to the safe and proper regulation
of traffic, any police officer may provide for the removal of such
vehicle. The owner shall bear the reasonable costs of removal and
storage which may result from such removal before regaining possession
of the vehicle.
