The Chief of Police shall not approve any application under the provisions of § 29-357 of the Connecticut General Statutes for a permit for supervised display of fireworks within the Town of Woodbridge unless the applicant shall state in writing to the Chief of Police that no detonating fireworks will be exploded whose excessive noise or explosive effect can be felt within a radius of more than one mile from the scene of the display, and approval by the Chief of Police shall be conditioned upon said written representation.
