A. 
The Animal Control Officer, a police officer, Code enforcement officer or an official observing a violation of any section of this chapter shall issue and serve an appearance ticket for such violation.
B. 
Any person observing a violation of any section of this chapter may personally appear at the Village Police Department and report such violation. Said person may also sign and swear to the appropriate accusatory instrument as required by law and thereby commence prosecution of the alleged violator.
A. 
Every person convicted of a violation of Article III shall be fined not less than $100 and not more than $500 and/or imprisoned for a term not to exceed 15 days, or both, at the discretion of the court. Each day, or part thereof, on which any such violation shall exist shall be deemed a separate additional violation, provided that multiple violations occurring during a single day are listed as separate counts on any accusatory instrument.
B. 
The owner or custodian of a dog who, through any act or omission, negligently permits his or her dog, which had previously been determined to be dangerous pursuant to Article IV, to attack or bite a person or to bite and injure a companion animal, domestic animal or farm animal or any person who violates Article V by keeping a harmful animal shall be fined not less than $500 and not more than $1,000 and/or imprisoned for a term not to exceed 15 days, or both, at the discretion of the court. Each day, or part thereof, on which any such violation shall exist shall be deemed a separate additional violation, provided that such new accusatory instrument is issued.
