A. 
The terms of office of all Trustees of the Village of Pleasantville, New York, are hereby extended from the current two-year terms to three-year terms.
B. 
This article supersedes the terms and provisions relative to the extension of the terms of office of the Trustees as set forth in § 3-302, Subdivision 5, of the Village Law of the State of New York.
This article shall take effect upon passage by the Village Board of Trustees and approval by the elective chief executive officer after submission to the people by reason of a mandatory referendum and the reception of an affirmative vote of a majority of the qualified electors voting thereon at the general election held on March 20, 1984, in accordance with the applicable provision of law.[1]
