A. 
Whenever any item of equipment or material is specified by using the name of a particular brand, manufacturer, or trade name in these specifications or details, the specification or description is intended to establish the type, function, and quality required. Unless the specification or description indicates that no substitution is permitted, other brands or manufacturers may be acceptable subject to acceptance by the Authority.
B. 
Each major item of equipment shall be inspected by a manufacturer's representative during installation and upon completion of the work. The developer shall supply the Authority with a certificate of such inspection.
C. 
The use of any equipment and materials other than as specified or beyond the scope of these specifications (for example, metering stations or sewage pumping stations) must be approved, in writing, by the Authority.
D. 
All materials shall be new and manufactured within one year prior to the date of installation.
E. 
Referenced standards are of the latest edition.
The developer and/or his/her contractor shall:
A. 
Transport and handle products in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
B. 
Promptly inspect shipments to ensure that products comply with specified requirements and are not damaged.
C. 
Provide equipment and personnel to handle and store products by methods to prevent soiling, disfigurement, or damage.
D. 
Store and protect products in accordance with manufacturer's instructions, with seals and labels intact and legible. Store sensitive products in weathertight, climate-controlled enclosures.
E. 
Protect products from vandalism by persons, animal, contamination by dirt, dust or water, damage from heat or cold, and damage from direct sunlight.
