The Director of Public Works shall be appointed by the Mayor,
with the advice and consent of the Municipal Council, to serve during
the term of the Mayor.
The Director of Public Works shall be responsible for the supervision
and management of the Divisions of the Department, provided that,
with respect to the Division of Engineering, the responsibility of
the Director shall be administrative and not supersede the professional
engineering skill and judgment of the Borough Engineer. The Director
shall coordinate the planning of all public improvements and utilities
of the Borough, schedule construction programs and prepare and submit
current reports on the progress of all pending projects within the
Department.
