A. 
Merit employees and part-time and grant-funded employees regularly scheduled to work 50% or more of the normal pay period are eligible for holiday leave in accordance with the terms of this article.
B. 
Contractual and appointed employees are eligible for holiday leave only if such leave is granted by an express term of their employment contract or agreement, respectively.
C. 
Employees must be in a pay status their regularly scheduled workday before and after the holiday in order to receive holiday leave.
A. 
Eligible employees are granted holiday leave equal to the number of hours the employee would normally have been scheduled to work on the holiday.
B. 
Eligible employees who are regularly scheduled to work Monday through Friday shall receive holiday leave on the date observed by the County.
C. 
Eligible employees who work rotating shifts in order to provide twenty-four-hour coverage shall be granted holiday leave for the actual calendar date. If a holiday has been included elsewhere in the employee's work schedule and the employee is on approved paid leave when a holiday falls, the paid leave shall be charged against the employee's leave balance in accordance §§ 86-3-603B and 86-3-105.
D. 
Other eligible employees who work nonstandard work schedules shall receive holiday leave on the actual calendar date when the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday and on the date observed by the County when the actual calendar date falls on a weekday. An employee may observe only one day for each holiday.
E. 
When a holiday occurs on a full-time employee's normally scheduled day off, he or she shall be granted another day off, at a time chosen by the County.
