The inhabitants of the City of Taneytown in Carroll County,
Maryland, within the corporate limits legally established from time
to time, are hereby constituted and continued a body corporate by
the name of "The City of Taneytown, Maryland," with all the privileges
of a body corporate, by that name to sue and be sued, to plead and
be impleaded in any court of law or equity, to have and use a common
seal and to have perpetual succession, unless the Charter and the
corporate existence are legally abrogated.
A copy of the courses and distances describing the corporate
boundaries shall be on file in the city offices and available for
public inspection during normal business hours. A map showing the
current corporate boundaries shall be maintained in the city offices
and shall be similarly available for public inspection.
