As used in this article, the following terms shall have the indicated meaning:
AMUSEMENT ARCADE
A business establishment in which more than two (2) coin-operated amusement machines are available for the use of the public for a consideration.
BOWLING ALLEY
A business establishment in which one or more alleys for the sports of bowling, duck pins or ten-pins are available for the use of the public for a consideration.
POOL ROOM or BILLIARD ROOM
A business establishment in which one or more pool or billiard tables are available for the use of the public for a consideration.

No person shall operate, maintain or conduct a billiard or pool room, a bowling alley or an amusement arcade without first having obtained a license therefor as is required in this article.

All applications for licenses required by section 3-31 shall state thereon the intended location of the place of business and the number of tables, alleys or amusement machines, as the case may be, to be used therein.

The annual license fee for a pool or billiard room, bowling alley or amusement arcade or any combination thereof, shall be one hundred dollars ($100.00), payable to the township.

(a) 
Pool or billiard halls. Pool or billiard halls shall not be open between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on any day.
(b) 
Amusement arcades. Amusement arcades shall not be open between the hours of 12:01 a.m. and 7:00 a.m., daily, prevailing time.
(c) 
Shopping center districts. The closing hours for eligible pool or billiard halls or eligible amusement arcades, as defined herein, located in a Shopping Center District under the Plymouth Township Zoning Ordinance of 1960, Ordinance No. 342, as amended,[1] shall be as follows:
(1) 
Pool and billiard halls. Pool and billiard halls shall not be open between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. Monday through Friday and between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, January 1, Memorial Day, July 4 and Labor Day.

Amusement arcades. Amusement arcades shall not be open between the hours of 12:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday, between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. Friday and between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, January 1, Memorial Day, July 4 and Labor Day.
An eligible pool or billiard hall or amusement arcade (the "establishment") shall derive not more than 25% of its gross sales from the sale of alcoholic beverages of any nature; the establishment shall have a floor area of not less than 30,000 square feet; and, the establishment shall provide security to the satisfaction and approval of the Plymouth Township Police Department.

(a) 
Pool or billiard halls. It is hereby declared to be unlawful for any person operating, maintaining or conducting a billiard or pool hall to permit any person under the age of eighteen (18) years to be present in any such poolroom or billiard room at any time.
(b) 
Bowling alleys. It is hereby declared to be unlawful for any person operating or maintaining a bowling alley to permit persons under the age of eighteen (18) years to frequent, loiter or remain within such place of business, except that persons under the age of eighteen (18) years may be on such premises during the time of, immediately before, and immediately after their direct involvement in the activity of bowling.

Business establishments containing one or more of the uses controlled by this article shall regulate the hours of such activities in accordance with those fixed by this article for each activity. If such individual activities cannot be individually controlled as to access and closing hours, the entire business establishment shall be governed by the most restrictive of the applicable regulations.
