A. 
Appointment. The City Marshal shall be appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the majority of all members elected to the Council. The City Marshal shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor and Council. Notwithstanding the City Marshal's at-will employment, the City Marshal shall hold office until the next general election at which a Mayor is chosen.
B. 
Powers Of The City Marshal. The City Marshal shall serve as the Chief of Police of the City of Overland. The City Marshal shall continue to exercise all powers and have all responsibilities set forth in Chapter 200 of this Code.
C. 
Compensation Of Marshal. The compensation of the City Marshal shall be set by the City Council in its annual budget.
