The City Administrator, City Clerk and any employees in the
administrative office of the City are hereby required to give a surety
bond with a reputable insurance company in favor of the City so long
as each shall hold his/her respective office or be employed by the
City. Such bond shall be a blanket or a blanket position bond as the
terms are understood and written by the bonding and insurance companies.
The Board of Aldermen shall determine by resolution whether to secure
a blanket bond or a blanket position bond on such City Officials and
employees.

The amount of the surety bond required under Section
105.480 shall be in the sum of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00).

The City Treasurer shall give an individual surety bond with
a reputable insurance company in favor of the City so long as he/she
shall hold his/her office that he/she will faithfully perform his/her
duties as City Treasurer according to law and ordinance, and such
bond shall in all respects comply with any statutory requirements
for such bonds imposed by the State. Such bond shall be in the sum
of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00).

The Chief of Police shall give a surety bond with a reputable
insurance company in favor of the City so long as he/she shall hold
his/her respective office in the sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00).
The bond shall be conditioned on the faithful performance of the duties
of his/her office and such bond shall comply with any statutory requirements
for such bonds imposed by the State.

The cost of any and all premiums paid on surety bonds required
by the provisions of this Article shall be borne by the City and the
City Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to pay out of the
General Revenue Fund any and all such premiums whenever the same are
due and payable.
