It is the intent of this article to abolish and disestablish
the office of Town Attorney of the Town of Seneca Fails created pursuant
to Town Law Section 20.
This article is adopted pursuant to Town Law § 20,
Subdivision 2(a), and Civil Service Law § 80.
The Office of Town Attorney of the Town of Seneca Falls, established
pursuant to Town Law § 20 and certified pursuant to Civil
Service Law § 22 on June 12, 2018, by the Seneca County
Personnel Department, be and the same hereby is abolished and disestablished
in order to promote efficiency and economy, effective immediately.
If a court determines that any clause, sentence, paragraph,
subdivision, or part of this article or the application thereof to
any person, firm or corporation, or circumstance is invalid or unconstitutional,
the court's order or judgment shall not affect, impair, or invalidate
the remainder of this article, but shall be confined in its operation
to the clause, sentence, paragraph, subdivision, or part of this article
or in its application to the person, individual, firm or corporation
or circumstance, directly involved in the controversy in which such
judgment or order shall be rendered.
This article shall take effect immediately.
