The Macomb County Animal Shelter is the animal custodial care
for the Village of New Haven. The Animal Control Officer shall turn
over all animals as appropriate to Macomb County.
Any person picking up any stray animal or animal found running
at large shall deliver such animal to the Animal Control Officer by
taking it to the animal shelter.
Any person finding a stray animal may assist the Animal Control
Officer by holding such animal for the Animal Control Officer to pick
up or by delivering it to the animal shelter.
Length of impoundment shall be according to Article VII of the Macomb County Regulations Governing Animal Control in Macomb County.
Recordkeeping, any and all applicable notice requirements, state law compliance, Macomb County Animal Control Regulation compliance, medical attention, and payment of fees for impoundment at Macomb County Animal Shelter shall be pursuant to Article VII of the Macomb County Regulations Governing Animal Control in Macomb County.
