A. 
The provisions of this article shall apply except when it is necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a police officer, member of the Briarcliff Manor Fire Department, or official traffic control device.
B. 
Marked Village vehicles performing Village business, or those vehicles otherwise displaying an applicable permit issued by the Village Manager, are specifically exempted from parking limitations of this article.
No person shall park a vehicle at any time upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule XII: Parking Prohibited at All Times.[1]

No person shall stop a vehicle upon that part of any street adjacent to any of the parking areas provided for in this chapter or upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XIII: No Stopping.[1]

No person shall stand or park a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XIV: No Standing.[1]

No person shall stand or park a vehicle upon or in front of any driveway, roadway, or intersection with lawfully placed "DO NOT BLOCK" signage or pavement markings.
C. 
No person shall drive a vehicle into an intersection when making a turn or crossing an intersecting street, unless there is adequate space in the roadway to complete the turn or cross the street without impeding any traffic flow, notwithstanding the indication of any traffic control signal which would permit the driver to proceed.
D. 
No person shall stand or park a vehicle upon any crosswalk within the Village.
E. 
No person shall stand or park a vehicle upon any sidewalk within the Village.
F. 
No person shall stand or park a vehicle on the roadway side of any vehicle stopped, standing or parked at the edge or curb of a street, or otherwise obstruct another car from exiting a parking space.
G. 
No person shall stand or park a vehicle on any roadway or public parking area of the Village for the purpose of selling food, drink, or other services without the issuance of a mobile vending permit from the Village Clerk.
No person shall park a vehicle upon any of the streets specified and hours indicated in Schedule XV: Parking Prohibited Certain Hours[1] unless otherwise indicated.

No person shall park a vehicle for longer than the time limit upon any of the streets or parts of streets between the hours indicated in Schedule XVIII: Time Limit Parking[1] unless otherwise indicated by lawfully posted signs.

A. 
No person shall park any vehicle on any street in the Village or at other public parking locations designated by the Village Manager between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. of any day from December 1 to March 31.
B. 
No person shall park any commercial vehicle on any street in a residential district within the Village or at other public parking locations designated by the Village Manager between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. A commercial vehicle is identified as a truck, bus, school bus, omnibus, pickup truck or any other vehicle used for commercial purposes where such vehicle bears exterior identification or indication of commercial use. Examples of identification or indication include but are not limited to commercial license plates or any sign or placard indicating the name, address, telephone number or nature of the commercial enterprise that is visible on either the front, roof, bed or either side of the vehicle and/or any ladder, rope, cable, plow, tool, machinery, equipment, container or other items identifying the commercial enterprise and affixed to the front, rear, roof, bed or either side of the vehicle.
A. 
No person shall park a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule XIX: Angle Parking[1] except at the angle designated and only within the painted stall lines. On all streets or portions thereof where angle parking is now or shall hereafter be authorized, all vehicles parked thereon shall be parked with the front thereof nearest the curb.

B. 
No person shall drive a vehicle across a double yellow line, or across another lane of travel, to enter an angled parking space.
A. 
Any vehicle parked or standing on any public roadway or off-street parking lot shall be: i) placed parallel to the right-hand curbline; or ii) where designated spaces exist, within marked lines and no further than 12 inches from the curbline, and not touching, straddling or overhanging any such markings.
B. 
Any vehicle parking or standing on any public roadway or off-street parking lot shall, except where explicitly marked otherwise, be parked with the front or passenger side thereof nearest the curb or wall.
C. 
Except temporarily in the event of an emergency, no person shall park:
(1) 
Partly or wholly upon the shoulder or any unpaved portion of any county- or state-owned roadway, except for municipal or public utility employees while performing services to the Village;
(2) 
In a Village easement area or right-of-way owned by another property owner, except with the permission of such owner;
(3) 
In any direction other than parallel to and facing in the direction of travel, except in designated lanes for angled parking, when lawfully provided; or
(4) 
In any case where doing so would obstruct the free flow of traffic or otherwise create a hazardous condition for passing vehicles, cyclists, or pedestrians.
The locations described in Schedule XX: Loading Zones[1] are hereby designated as loading zones. No parking, standing or stopping is permitted in a loading zone at the times and days set forth therein, except in connection with loading and unloading for commercial purposes.

The locations described in Schedule XXI: Taxi Zones[1] are hereby designated as taxi zones. No parking, standing or stopping is permitted in a taxi zone except for vehicles licensed and operated as taxis pursuant to Chapter 272.

A. 
Bus stops. No parking, standing or stopping is permitted in a bus stop designated by Westchester County except for licensed bus carriers.
B. 
School zones. The locations described in Schedule XXII: School Zones[1] are hereby designated as school zones. "School zones" are defined as the boundary from the foundation wall of the school to both sides of the designated street. No person shall park, stand or stop in violation of any posted parking restriction in a school zone at the times and days set forth therein.
