The office of Part-Time Public Safety Telecommunicator in and
for the Borough of Paramus is hereby created, subject to the provisions
of this article.
The Part-Time Public Safety Telecommunicator shall be appointed
by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council.
The Part-Time Public Safety Telecommunicator shall receive such
compensation as shall be fixed, from time to time, by the general
salary ordinance of the Borough of Paramus.
The Part-Time Public Safety Telecommunicator shall meet the
following requirements:
Under direction, receives and responds to telephone or other
electronic requests for emergency assistance, including law enforcement,
fire, medical, or other emergency services and/or dispatches appropriate
units to response sites; does related work as required. (NOTE: The
examples of work for this title are for illustrative purposes only.
A particular position using this title may not perform all duties
listed in the job specification. Conversely, all duties performed
on the job may not be listed.)
