This chapter is enacted pursuant to the authority of Article 9-A of
the General Municipal Law of the State of New York, as amended from time to
time, and shall be known as the "Games of Chance Law of the Town of Hurley."
The words and terms used in this chapter shall have the same meaning
as such words and terms are used in Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law,
unless otherwise provided herein or the context requires a different meaning.
In addition, the following definitions shall apply to this chapter:
The Chief Law Enforcement Officer of Ulster County.
The Town of Hurley.
Games of chance may be conducted in the town on any day of the week,
except Sunday, between 3:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon by an authorized organization
after obtaining a license therefor, in accordance with the provisions, requirements
and limitations of Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law, the rules and
regulations of the New York State Racing and Wagering Board and this chapter.
