The Town Board of the Town of Victor has determined
that it is in the best interest of the public and for the safety and
welfare of the inhabitants of the Town of Victor to regulate and control
vehicles by means of traffic control devices.
The provisions of this Article are enacted pursuant
to the authority vested in the Town Board of the Town of Victor in
accordance with the provisions of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the
State of New York.
The provisions of this Article shall only apply
to those streets hereinafter designated which are within the Town
of Victor, exclusive of those areas within the corporate limits of
the Village of Victor.

The Superintendent of Highways shall obtain
and install signs along said highways indicating the appropriate stopping
prohibition. This regulation shall take effect upon the installation
of said signs along said highways.[1]

Every person convicted of a traffic infraction
for a violation of any provision of this Article which is not a violation
of any provision of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New
York shall, for a first conviction thereof, be punished by a fine
of not more than $50 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days,
or by both such fine and imprisonment; for a second such conviction
within 18 months thereafter, such person shall be punished by a fine
of not more than $100 or by imprisonment for not more than 45 days,
or by both such fine and imprisonment; upon a third or subsequent
conviction, such person shall be punished by a fine of not more than
$250 or by imprisonment for not more than 90 days, or both such fine
and imprisonment.
