Youth Services Bureau — See Ch. 139.
The Town of Montville, in an effort to provide prevention, treatment services and programs to the youth of the Town of Montville, creates a Youth Services Bureau.[1] The Town will be eligible to receive partial funding for counseling and services provided by the Bureau from the State of Connecticut Department for Children and Youth Services, if certain requirements concerning the establishment of a Bureau and Youth Advisory Board are met.

There is hereby created a Montville Youth Advisory Board which shall have the following duties:
A. 
It shall advise and make recommendations to the Bureau on overall policy and program direction for the Bureau.
B. 
It shall be responsible for the evaluation, planning, coordination and implementation of prevention and treatment services for delinquent, predelinquent and troubled youths.
C. 
It shall be responsible for the provision of opportunities for youths to develop positively and to function as responsible members of the community.

Said Montville Youth Advisory Board shall consist of not less than nine members who shall be appointed by the Town Council.
