Every person convicted of a traffic infraction
for a violation of any provision of this Part 1 which is not a violation
of any provision of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New
York shall, for a first conviction thereof, be punished by a fine
of not more than $50; for a second such conviction within 18 months
thereafter, such person shall be punished by a fine of not more than
$100; upon a third or subsequent conviction within 18 months after
the first conviction, such person shall be punished by a fine of not
more than $250.

Every person convicted of overtime parking;
parking in a no parking or loading zone; parking or standing in a
bus stop; stopping, standing or parking within an intersection or
fire zone; blocking a sidewalk, crossing or driveway; double parking;
unauthorized angle parking, and parking auto with left side to curb,
shall be punished by a fine of $10. Failure to answer any parking
ticket within 15 days of issue would result in said fine being doubled;
failure to answer within 30 days shall result in fine being doubled
again; failure to answer within 60 days shall result in fine being
doubled again and subject the owner/operator to arrest and/or suspension
of the vehicle's registration. Every person convicted of more than
four parking violations within any consecutive sixty-day period shall
be subject to an additional penalty of $25 for each such offense.
If any Article, section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or provision of this Part
1 shall be adjudged by any court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such adjudication shall not affect, impair or invalidate the remainder thereof, but shall be confined in its operation to the Article, section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or provision thereof directly involved in the controversy in which such judgment shall have been rendered.
All prior ordinances, regulations and rules
or parts of such of this Village regulating traffic and parking are
hereby repealed, except that this repeal shall not affect or prevent
the prosecution or punishment of any person for any act done or committed
in violation of any ordinance, regulation or rule hereby repealed
prior to the taking effect of this Part 1.
