For the purposes of the State Line of Duty Act,[1] the Colonial Heights Fire Department (including the Volunteer
Fire Department and the Division of Emergency Medical Services) and the Colonial
Heights Police Department are recognized by the City of Colonial Heights as
integral parts of the official safety program of the city.
