The position of Sergeant-at-Arms to the Council of the City of Lackawanna, New York is hereby created and established.
The Council shall appoint the Sergeant-at-Arms by resolution. He or she shall serve for a term of one year and his or her salary shall be established by resolution of the Council.
A. 
The duties of the Sergeant-at-Arms shall be as follows: He or she shall attend all regular and special meetings of the Council and he or she shall maintain and preserve the peace and order of said meetings.
B. 
Prior to his or her appointment the Sergeant-at-Arms shall have a knowledge of the City Charter and Robert's Rules of Parliamentary Procedure.
