The Common Council of the City of Middletown
hereby adopts the Workmen's Compensation Self-Insurance Plan for its
employees, effective June 4, 1956.
The sum of $30,000 is at present available for
workmen's compensation insurance purposes for the remainder of the
fiscal year ending November 30, 1956.

The Treasurer be and is hereby authorized and
directed to invest the sum of $20,000 in an interest-bearing reserve
account, such account to be known as the "Workmen's Compensation Reserve
Account."
The sum of $10,000 shall be made available in
the current account for the purpose of operating and maintaining the
Workmen's Compensation Self-Insurance Plan for the remainder of the
present fiscal year ending November 30, 1956.

The sum of $20,000 shall be provided for in
the 1957 budget and the sum of $10,000 shall be provided for in the
1959 budget, to bring the total of the Workmen's Compensation Reserve
Account to $50,000.

The Treasurer be and is hereby authorized and
directed to administer the Workmen's Compensation Self-Insurance Plan.
