C.
Any person violating the provisions of this section
shall, upon summary conviction before a District Justice, be sentenced
to pay a fine of $25 and costs of prosecution, and, in default thereof,
may be imprisoned for a number of days equal to one day for each $10
of the unpaid balance of the fine and costs.

C.
Any person violating the provisions of this section
shall, upon summary conviction before any District Court having jurisdiction
thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine as prescribed in the Vehicle Code
for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,[4] together with costs of prosecution, and, in default thereof,
shall undergo imprisonment for such length of time as is set forth
in the Vehicle Code of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as the same
is now in force or as it is hereafter amended, enacted or reenacted
from time to time.

A.
This section shall be known and may be cited as the
"Motor Vehicle Size, Weight and Load Limitations Ordinance of the
Township of Greene."
B.
This section is enacted pursuant to the authority
conferred by the Vehicle Code, Act of 1976, June 17, P.L. 162, No.
81, § 1, effective July 1, 1977 (75 Pa.C.S.A. § 101
et seq.), as amended.
C.
This ordinance shall become effective in 30 days.

The following words, when used in this section, shall
have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except in those
instances where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:
A Fire Department vehicle, police vehicle, Sheriff
vehicle, ambulance, blood-delivery vehicle, armed forces emergency
vehicle, one vehicle operated by a coroner or chief county medical
examiner and one vehicle operated by a chief deputy coroner or deputy
chief county medical examiner used for answering emergency calls,
or any other vehicle designated by the State Police under Section
6106[1] (relating to designation of emergency vehicles by Pennsylvania
State Police), or a privately owned vehicle used in answering an emergency
call when used by any of the following:
A Police Chief and Assistant Chief.
A Fire Chief, Assistant Chief and, when a fire
company has three or more fire vehicles, a second or third Assistant
Chief.
A Fire Police Captain and Fire Police Lieutenant.
An Ambulance Corps Commander and Assistant Commander.
A River Rescue Commander and Assistant Commander.
A County Emergency Management Coordinator.
A Fire Marshal.
Any vehicle or combination which is defined and/or governed
by the Vehicle Code, 75 Pa.C.S.A. § 101 et seq., as amended.
A motor vehicle which:
Is designed and used to carry 11 passengers
or more, including the driver; and
Is used for the transportation of preprimary,
primary or secondary school students, personnel or chaperones to such
schools or school-related activities from home, or from such schools
or school-related activities to home.

G.
Permits and security.
(1)
The Board of Supervisors of the Township may issue permits for the movement of motor vehicles or combinations of size and weight in excess of the restrictions imposed under Subsection E above, and require such undertaking or security as the Board of Supervisors deems necessary to cover the cost of anticipated or probable repairs and/or restoration necessitated by the permitted movement of vehicles.
(2)
All actions taken under the authority of this section
shall be taken in accordance with the rules and regulations adopted
from time to time by the Board of Supervisors, and, in the absence
thereof, in accordance with the rules and regulations adopted by the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Transportation, as found
in Title 67 of the Pennsylvania Code.
H.
Erection of signs. The Township shall erect or cause
to be erected and maintained restriction signs designating the restrictions
at each end of a bridge or portion of road restricted as provided
in this section. In the case of a restriction on a bridge or on a
road which does not begin or end at an intersection with an unrestricted
road, the Township shall also place an advance informational sign
at the intersection nearest each end of the restricted bridge or portion
of road which would allow drivers to avoid the restricted bridge or
portion of road. No person shall be convicted of violating any subsection
of this section unless the restriction sign designating the restricted
bridge or portion of road to traffic moving in the direction the person
was driving was posted as required in this section.
I.
Violations and penalties. Any person operating a motor vehicle or combination upon a road or bridge in violation of a prohibition or restriction imposed under Subsection E is guilty of a summary offense and shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $150, plus $150 for each 500 pounds, or part thereof, in excess of 3,000 pounds over the maximum allowable weight.

A.
Except as is hereinafter provided, it shall be unlawful
to park any vehicle upon the cartway or within two feet next adjacent
to the cartway of Township roads. For the purposes of this section,
the road cartway is that portion of the paved roadway delineated by
the white lines marking each side of the road.
B.
There shall be excepted from this prohibition the
temporary parking of a vehicle within prohibited areas of Township
roads upon the occurrence of a vehicle breakdown or other emergency
disabling the vehicle. Vehicles so parked as a result of vehicle breakdown
or other emergency shall be removed from the prohibited area within
24 hours. This exception is not intended to authorize any parking
on the road cartway unless the vehicle breakdown or other necessitating
emergency occurs at a location where removal from the road cartway
is physically impossible.
C.
Proper signs, in accordance with the Vehicle Code
of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, shall be erected along all Township
roads.
D.
Any person violating the provisions of this section

jurisdiction, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $25 and
costs of prosecution and, in default of the payment thereof, shall
undergo imprisonment for such length of time as is set forth in the
