The dumping or casting away of garbage, waste matter, junk, rubbish, debris and other refuse matter anywhere in the Township of Pilesgrove is hereby prohibited except in such areas as the governing body may officially designate for that purpose. The foregoing prohibition shall be expressly interpreted to extend to the littering of all streets, roads and property within the Township of Pilesgrove in any manner whatsoever.
The use of any municipal dump by any person, firm or corporation not a resident in the Township of Pilesgrove is hereby prohibited unless permission is first secured from the governing body.
The hours during which any municipal dump may be used by any person, firm or corporation authorized to do so shall be such as the governing body may from time to time by resolution direct. A prominent sign indicating such hours shall be placed at the entrance to all municipal dumps.
The setting of fires at any municipal dump by any unauthorized person, firm or corporation is hereby prohibited.
Trespassing upon any municipal dump for the purpose of scavenging or removing any items of refuse whatsoever is hereby prohibited, and the removal of such refuse shall likewise be considered a violation of this article.
Any authorized person, firm or corporation making use of any municipal dump shall do so with a strict regard for the maintenance of said dump in a carefully policed condition and for the health and welfare of the residents of the Township of Pilesgrove and surrounding communities.
Violation of this article shall be punishable by either imprisonment in the County Jail for a term not exceeding 90 days or by a fine not exceeding $200, or by both such imprisonment and fine. In this respect, the violation of any one provision of this article shall constitute a distinct and separate offense.
