A. 
The words and phrases used in this chapter shall for the purpose of this chapter have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by Article 1 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the state.
B. 
The following words and phrases which are not defined by Article 1 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the state shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them in this section for the purposes of this chapter:
CURBLINE
The prolongation of the lateral line of a curb or, in the absence of a curb, the lateral boundary line of the roadway.
OFFICIAL TIME STANDARD
Whenever certain hours are named in this chapter or on traffic control devices, they shall mean the time standard which is in current use in this state.
PUBLIC PARKING LOT
A plot or parcel of land or building owned and/or leased by this village, not including highways, upon or within which the parking of vehicles is regulated by signs and/or parking meters.
A. 
Trucks in excess of four tons gross weight are hereby excluded from the following streets within this village:

B. 
The regulations established in this section shall not be construed to prevent the delivery or pickup of merchandise or other property along the highways from which trucks are otherwise excluded.
It shall be unlawful for any person to ride a bicycle, motorcycle or snowmobile or do any coasting with any kind of a vehicle or sled, endangering person or property, on the sidewalks of the village.

It shall be unlawful for any person to make, continue or cause to be made or continued any loud, disturbing and unnecessary noises in connection with the following acts:
A. 
The use of any automobile, motorcycle or other vehicle so out of repair, so loaded, so equipped or in such manner as to create loud and unnecessary grating, grinding, rattling or other noise.
B. 
The operation of any automobile, motorcycle or other vehicle in a manner which causes loud and unnecessary screeching or squealing of the tires of such vehicle.

Penalties for violations of this chapter will be in accordance with the appropriate section of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, except as stated in § 162-16C.
