A. 
It is hereby unlawful for any person, individual, firm, corporation, association, partnership and/or other legal entity to post, secure, fasten and/or attach in any manner any printed, painted and/or written sign, poster, showbill, placard, circular and/or advertisement of any description whatsoever upon any pole (whether owned by a public utility company or not), tree and/or any stationary object abutting any public street, public thoroughfare and/or public way within the Borough of Upland. Permitted exceptions to the aforesaid prohibition shall be traffic control signs of any kind duly placed along any public street, public thoroughfare and/or public way by the Borough of Upland or the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, judicial notices, and/or public notices from any governmental body or agency.
B. 
Nothing contained in this chapter shall apply to those signs legally posted in accordance with § 185-43 of Chapter 185, Zoning.

Any person, individual, firm, corporation, association, partnership and/or other legal entity who shall violate the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction before any District Justice legally empowered to hear such matter, be punished by a fine of not more than $600 or, in default thereof, be imprisoned for a period not exceeding 30 days. Each day's failure to comply with the provisions of this ordinance shall constitute a separate violation hereof.
