Whereas § 18 of the Public Officers Law provides for the defense
and indemnification of officers and employees of public entities, it is the
intention of this chapter to confer the benefits of said § 18 upon
the officers and employees of the Town of Dayton.
The Town of Dayton hereby agrees to and hereby does confer the benefits
of § 18 of the Public Officers Law upon its officers and employees
and agrees to and shall be held liable for the costs incurred under the provisions
of § 18 of the Public Officers Law.
