No person shall drink or consume an alcoholic beverage or possess an
open container of such beverage with the intent to consume it in public on
any public street, public sidewalk or public parking area within the Town
of Vernon, outside the City of Sherrill and the Villages of Vernon and Oneida
Castle.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon
conviction thereof, be punishable by a fine not exceeding $250 for each offense
or by imprisonment for a term not to exceed 15 days, or by both such fine
and imprisonment.
