A tax of 0.5 mil per year ($0.50 per $100) is assessed on all real property within Jackson Township.
The tax shall be computed on the assessed value of the real estate and utilized for general Township purposes.

A. 
The Tax Collector of the Township of Jackson, York County, Pennsylvania, elected for the term of office commencing on the first Monday of January, 2006, and the Tax Collector elected for any term of office thereafter, unless changed by later amendment, shall be compensated for duties as Tax Collector under the Local Tax Collection Law,[1] as amended from time to time, at the following rates:
(1) 
Three percent on any money collected at rebate amounts;
(2) 
Three percent on any money collected at face amounts;
(3) 
Five percent on monies collected at penalty amounts.

B. 
Said Tax Collector, as collector of Township taxes, shall also be compensated for such actual printing and postage expenses as he or she shall incur in performing duties for the Township, as prescribed by the Local Tax Collection Law, as amended from time to time.
This article shall become effective February 1, 1996.
