Borough Council be and is hereby authorized to appoint an Independent
Auditor to make an independent examination of the accounting records
for the Borough and who shall perform all other duties and exercise
such powers as conferred by law.

Upon appointment of an Independent Auditor, the office of elected
Borough Auditor shall be abolished until such time as the office of
Independent Auditor is abolished by ordinance; although, the elected
Borough Auditors shall serve the remainder of the term for which they
were elected performing all their duties, except they shall not audit,
settle or adjust any accounts audited by the Independent Auditor.

The Independent Auditor shall be appointed annually by resolution
before the close of a fiscal year to examine the Borough accounts
for such fiscal year.
