No person shall conduct, operate or maintain any pool room, billiard room, bowling alley, moving picture house, play house, theatre, skating rink, shooting gallery or other public amusement house within the Borough limits, nor shall any juke box or mechanical or electronic device or any pinball machine of any type, or any coin operated amusement machine or device whatever where quarters, dimes, nickels, pennies, or other tokens are used, be installed, maintained, or operated without first obtaining from the Mayor a certificate or permit, which certificate shall be issued for a term ending on the last calendar day of the year it was issued and for which a fee shall be paid in accordance with a fee schedule as established from time to time by resolution of Borough Council.

All certificates of permit issued and dated on the first day of each year shall be in full force and effect for the ensuing year to December 31. All certificates shall expire on December 31 of each year. Any machine installed or amusement house opened anytime during the year shall pay the permit fee set forth herein:

All permits or license fees payable under this Part shall be paid to the Mayor of the Borough of Bridgeville, who upon receiving the same shall issue the proper license or permit the amount thereof, the day of its issuance and the time in which it is to be in force, and shall make return at each regular meeting of Council for all fees collected during the preceding month.

Nothing in this Part shall be in any way construed to authorize, license or permit any gambling device whatsoever or any mechanism that has been judicially determined to be a gambling device or in any way contrary to law, or that may be contrary to any future laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

The license herein provided for shall be posted permanently and conspicuously at the location of the machine in the premise where the device is to be operated.
2. 
If the licensee shall move or sell his place of business, the license may be transferred to such new location or transferred to the new owner for the balance of the license year.

Every license issued under this Part is subject to the right, which is hereby expressly reserved, to revoke the same should the licensee, directly or indirectly, permit the operation of any juke box or mechanical or electronical amusement device contrary to the provisions of this Part, the ordinances of the Borough of Bridgeville, or the law of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Any person who shall violate any provision of this Part shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine not exceeding $600 plus costs and, in default of payment thereof, shall be subject to imprisonment for a term not to exceed 30 days. Each day that a violation of this Part continues shall constitute a separate offense.
