The position of Chief Financial Officer of the Township of Upper Deerfield shall be held by an individual to be appointed by the Township Committee of the Township of Upper Deerfield in accordance with the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40A:9-140.10. The position of Treasurer of the Township of Upper Deerfield shall be filled by appointment by the Township Committee of the Township of Upper Deerfield, and the person holding the position of Chief Financial Officer may, but is not required to, also hold the office of Township Treasurer of the Township of Upper Deerfield. The Township Committee of the Township of Upper Deerfield may, in its discretion, appoint different individuals to hold the positions of Chief Financial Officer and/or Township Treasurer.
