No person or corporation shall string or extend any wires-along
or over Main Street between Academy Street and Clay Street for telegraph,
telephone or electric light purposes, at less height than 50 feet
from the ground, nor over any other street at less than 25 feet from
the ground, under a penalty of $25 for each offense, and a further
penalty of $5 for every day any such wire remains so extended at a
height less than the above distance from the ground for the respective
streets referred to.
Any person violating this ordinance, or any part thereof, shall
be liable for and forfeit and pay a penalty not exceeding $50 for
each offense, except as otherwise provided herein.
Any violation of this ordinance, or any part thereof, shall
constitute disorderly conduct, and any person violating any of the
provisions of this ordinance shall be and is hereby declared a disorderly
person.
