The Potomac Edison Power Company, its successors and assigns
are hereby granted the right, privilege and authority to construct,
operate and maintain their transmission lines, including the necessary
poles, wires and fixtures, upon, over, along and under the alleys,
streets and highways of the Town upon the terms and conditions hereinafter
provided.
Nothing contained in this article shall be construed to grant
to the Potomac Edison Power Company an exclusive franchise, and the
Mayor and Council hereby reserves the right to grant a like consent
to any other company, person or persons for like purposes.
The Potomac Edison Power Company shall hold the Mayor and Council
free and harmless from all damages and claims for damages arising
by reason of the erection, management or negligent maintenance of
said company's transmission lines.
