There is hereby established an office to be known as Director
of Public Works for the City. The Director of Public Works shall act
as Building Commissioner, Plumbing Commissioner, Street Commissioner,
City Engineer, and Commissioner of Municipal Transportation. The said
Director of Public Works shall have all the powers and duties as may
be prescribed under the ordinances of the City relating to said offices,
and also as may be prescribed by the Statutes and laws of the State
of Missouri relative to such positions or offices. The Street Commissioner
shall serve as Director of Public Works and shall exercise all powers
and have all duties set forth in this Article.
